Accompaniesphysician and advanced practice providers during examination and assists with medical treatments and procedures. Administers oral,subcutaneousand intramuscular medications and immunizations. Provides instructions and counseling to patients to include medications and laboratory test procedures and records in medical file.Recordspatient's medical condition and vital signs and reports symptomatology of medical illness to health care professionals. Recognizes urgent problems and responds to emergency situations.Responsiblefor assisting in the implementation of individual care plans for patients on an assigned shift. Performs procedures and treatments within scope of practice as directed by the health care professional. Ensuresthat all instruments and supplies are present in clinical areas. Maintains a clean and hygienic environment. Provides training to students and volunteers.Answer clinic phones, schedule patient appointments and make reminder calls. Maintain confidential patient documents. Inputs and retrieves medical information and files as needed. Provide information regarding eligibility for services and register patients.Evaluates incoming mail, reports, or inquiries and distributes. Types letters, reports, forms, and other materials from notes or rough drafts when asked by health care professionals.Receive payment fromclients;record and issue receipts for cash and checks.Other related functions as assigned.
