ETEL Transformers Desktop Support Technician in Auckland - Waitakere, New Zealand

We're currently looking for a proactive Desktop Support Technician to join our wider Information Systems team and be responsible for supporting the PC hardware and associated systems to their full potential, enabling ETEL to produce world class results.

We're looking for someone who brings energy, a keenness to learn and a passion for helping users and colleagues. If you can effectively communicate with customers to identify root causes of their issues as well as proactively keep users up to date on progress, then this could be the role for you!

Hours will be onsite 8.00am-4.30pm Monday-Friday.

What you'll do:

• Take ownership of all existing and new (PC's, laptops) IT assets including documentation, allocation, upgrade, and disposal.

• Create and maintain documentation.

• Receive and log requests for service.

• Deliver support to end users, both in person and remotely (NZ, Australia, Indonesia, and Singapore).

• Escalation of problems that are not able to be resolved.

• Assist in identifying and proposing hardware and system changes.

• Assist in installing new hardware and systems.

• Assist with the implementation and development of new core business systems, modifications, and enhancements.

• Deliver hands-on training and support to relevant personnel in the organisation.

What you'll need:

• At least 1-2 years' experience in an IT support role

• You'll thrive in a fast-paced workplace where change is an everyday thing.

• Practical knowledge of: Office 365; PC and laptop Hardware Support; Windows 7,10,11; basic network knowledge as well as mobile devices (android phone and tablet, apple phone).

• A demonstrable track record of problem solving.

• The capacity to resolve user issues and produce reports within (or better yet exceed) SLA standards.

• Exceptional customer service skills

• The ability to take ownership for problems and aim for first time resolution.
