ManTech Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, MD . In this role, you will perform as a consultant in highly specialized, leading edge information technologies and methodologies and provide highly technical and specialized guidance concerning automated solutions to complex information processing problems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform elaborate analyses and studies.

  • Prepare reports and gives presentations.

  • Manage the project work as defined by the government.

  • Lead medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects.

  • Provide highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.

  • Expert in Linux and Windows.

  • Manage and ensure the technical integrity of the system baseline over time, continually updating it as various changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle from development through deployment and operations and maintenance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

  • Must have DOD 8570 Level II certification​

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experiencing utilizing automation and orchestration tools including OpenStack, Salt, and Puppet to build and install virtual machines.

  • Customer facing skills to drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation.

  • Must have experience Integrated applications with cloud databases such as AWS RDS and AWS DynamoDB.

  • Must have experience as a Technical Lead over several software development teams.

  • Experience facilitating the identification and prioritization of new AWS services to release in a large-scale AWS environment

  • Experience utilizing many core AWS services including, but not limited to, EC2, IAM, SC, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and Lambda.

  • Experience implementing recommendations for improving documentation and software development process.

  • Experience with code scripting languages to facilitate automation across different environments.

  • Experience improving system performance through operating-system-level tweaks and enhancement

  • Experience with development CI/CD tools.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
