As an Occupational Therapy Assistant with Spectrum Healthcare Resources, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive occupational rehabilitative services to our esteemed patients. Requirements: Degree/Education: Associate degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). Certifications: Certified in occupational therapy through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Experience: Minimum of one year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant after graduation. Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant. Duties and Responsibilities: As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Elmendorf Air Force Base, your core duties will include: Providing a full spectrum of occupational rehabilitative services under the plan of care of a credentialed provider. Utilizing assessment tools, intervention techniques, and treatment modalities under the direction of a credentialed provider. Delivering complex/multi-step instructions to patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals, adapting instruction methods according to individual learning styles. Identifying, recommending, and fabricating complex adaptive and assistive devices, durable medical equipment, and complex dynamic splinting after consultation with the occupational therapist.
