ABM Industries Floor Crew Supervisor in Anchorage, Alaska

Overview

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 6pm-2am

Pay depends on experience: $43,680-$48,000/ annually

This position is responsible for ensuring the cleaning specifications are met within all ABM accounts while remaining within the budgetary restraints. Responsible for all admin paper work associated with the supervisory duties and overall supervision of assigned staff.

Requirements:

  • Must have valid drivers license and know how to operate Automobile, cell phone, scanner, copy machine, network computer, printer.

  • Must be able to instruct others on the operation of vacuums, extractors, trash compactors, wet/dry vac, high-low buffers, scrubbers.

Functional Accountabilities:

  • Responsible to maintain assigned accounts to customer cleaning specifications

  • Plans and organizes work routines, and schedules for all Floor Care personnel.

  • Assumes the responsibilities of the Floor Crew when needed.· Responsible for training Floor Crew staff in proper ABM cleaning techniques.

  • Work with Operations Management to ensure proper safety and HR training has been provided for all employees.

  • Assist in ordering Floor Crew supplies and equipment-maintains supply cost at or below budget

  • Performs and or over sees tag work assigned to Floor Crew in the various facilities. Controls tag labor and cost on same work.

  • Assumes responsibility for training Floor Crew in Safety programs, and ensure compliance with all safety policies

  • Responds to customer issues as directed by Operations Management.

  • Assumes responsibility for Floor Crew vacation and holiday replacement coverage.

  • Assumes responsibility for account retention and quality control

  • Performs nightly inspections of facilities. Corrects – retain on any performance or quality issues

  • Oversees floor crew time sheets and work orders to insure they are filled out correctly

  • Assist in development of replacements for all lead positions

  • Submit suggestions to District Manager for additional work needed to increase Tag sales

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Expectations:

  • Control budgeted labor for each job to control cost

  • Perform quality control inspections of each account on schedule.

  • Provide an environment that will allow subordinates to grow and develop skills for future advancement.

  • Lead by example: adhere to Branch, Corporate, Division, and Region policies

The right candidate will also:

  • Complete a Supervisors Daily Report: Complete at end of each shift

  • Activities complete daily operational issues with follow-up information to District Manager·

  • Meet with floor crew personnel on complaint and work assignments

  • Attend all Supervisor training opportunities and seminars made available by management.
